@aetios oh yeah i've learned a lot about how the EU works

i've always been meaning to learn more but it's like the driest stuff possible, so having a bit of an exciting saga to go with it really helps wash the dry stuff down

i was initially pretty reserved about Mastodon enabling backfilling by default, but i'm definitely noticing the boost in engagement when replying to popular posts. it's pretty nice, actually

@MrLovenstein This made me relive my trauma of dropping my favourite mug on the floor

Then I glued it, but then the glue started dissolving in the coffee so I had to stop using it :(

@volpeon The screen blanks happen with both Windows and Linux/Wayland/KDE, but they're way way worse on my Linux setup

@volpeon I'm on a 9070 XT and switched my left display from HDMI to DisplayPort because I was having occasional screen blanks at 1440p. Already had those with my previous 5700 XT but it got worse

fuck
The White House social media team is in hot water with one of the world’s biggest pop stars after using Sabrina Carpenter’s song “Juno” in a video depicting law enforcement apprehending individuals in apparent immigration actions.

The Grammy-winning singer and songwriter called the video “evil and disgusting.”

“Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda,” Carpenter posted on X.

it's interesting, the pulsar crazylight x2's microcontroller has bluetooth, but they don't use it

i understand that they want to promote the rf dongle thing, you're never going to reach an 8000Hz polling rate over bluetooth of course. but it'd be nice if I could just throw it in my bag and use it with my laptop on the go, and use rf at home
