vibe coding decided to give vibe coding a shot, just so i know what i'm dealing with. i mean the proper deal: chatgpt codex, integrated in the editor, giving it access to edit files. just to see what happened

It did reach first results very quickly, satisfyingly so. Then i started iterating on the project, which kept getting slower and slower. Even caught myself getting in an argument with the computer. Then my codex credits ran out

While I did review all the patches it made, I still have no idea how the fuck this project works. All the productivity gains I got from having the autocomplete robot build my software I've now lost in trying to decipher what the hell is going on.

It's like university projects all over again

@algernon reminds me of an article I read about "how to make Claude a better programmer than you" and the gist was to do that you just had to be a better programmer than Claude

(context: op-amps)
Operational amplifiers are almost always used with negative feedback, in which part of the output signal is returned to the input in opposition to the source signal. (It is also possible to have positive feedback, in which the signal returned to the input aids the original source signal. However, negative feedback turns out to be more useful in amplifier circuits.) Frequently, we analyze op-amp circuits by assuming an ideal op amp and employing a concept that we call the summing-point constraint.

@hazelweakly if you haven't yet by the way - you can swap the `~ and §± keys by changing the keyboard layout in the macos settings if you want.

it will of course make the keys do something different from what they say, but that's easy enough to get used to.

not sure if you can make the `~ button act as a shift too (so you can fatfinger it to your heart's content) but surely there's tools for that (though knowing the mac ecosystem it'll probably cost like €25)

@hazelweakly it usually is a second \| key (which also isn't very useful). AltGr is in stead of the right Alt key

@hazelweakly @helle at least framework had the foresight to make the top case compatible with both layouts (though replacing the keyboard still requires you to unscrew a bunch of tiny screws)
